Get to Know Geraldine...
Geraldine (Gigi) Wynn is the founder of Inspiring Trees Of Hope, where God is the foundation. The vision was given to her at the lowest time in her life. As a single mom starting over after a divorce, she was not able to see how life could get better. Leaving an emotionally abusive marriage of 12 years, she found courage with God to start over with her 3 beautiful children. It was during this difficult transitional time that God planted a seed as he led her to begin sketching trees.
Through this therapeutic practice, she then began adding positive messages which led to hosting art shows in her home featuring her creations. God gave her the name, Inspiring Trees Of Hope. The money from the art sold would help raise awareness to the many illnesses that families face today, as portions of the proceeds were donated to organizations that help families in need. The vision has since expanded into several branches, Inspiring Her, Inspiring Children, and Inspiring Parents. As God continues to give her the growing vision to inspire women, children, and families all over the world, she is dedicated and committed to being a part of the change.
Through God’s strength, her determination, and the support from a community of friends she was also inspired to return to school to continue her education as an effort to support her children while building toward a meaningful career. She now holds a BA in Early Childhood Administration, a Master in Special Education, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Organizational Development of Leadership.
In 2018, God has blessed her to remarry to her love Mr. Wynn and her children are now young adults ages 20, 22, and 25. As she looks back on being a single mom, remembering the struggles and emotional pain she endured, she wants you to know that God can do anything. There is purpose in every decision made or not made.
There is strength in God to lead the way. Her dad used to tell her, “Life is a fight, to fight life through, to say at the end, that the dream was true.” At the time she did not have a full understanding of what his words meant. After his passing however, she truly believed he wanted her to know that we should all fight to reach the goal of purpose that God has placed deep inside of us. Though God never promised it would be easy, at the end of the race it would be true in God’s eyes. She is honored to be a part of a beautiful conference to inspire single moms to keep pushing and above all, never give up.
